Registering Fire Arms
After purchasing the weapon, you must return to Frankenmuth Police Department to register the gun with the weapon and the appropriate paper work. |
Free Gun Lock Program Owners of firearms in the City and Township of Frankenmuth can now receive free gun locks from the Frankenmuth Police Department. This program is provided by Project Childsafe, which is designed to raise awareness of firearms safety and the responsible storage of weapons. The Frankenmuth Police Department would like to encourage the Frankenmuth community to pick up a free gun lock so they can securely store their firearms in their residence. The locks fit on most types of handguns, rifles and shotguns. The goal is to prevent a child or any other unauthorized person from accessing a firearm in your home. |
