HERITAGE PARK PAVILION & BUILDING RESERVATION POLICY
FRANKENMUTH PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION

The Frankenmuth Parks & Recreation Department has three pavilions and two buildings available for rent to groups. Seating capacity of these facilities is as follows: Pavilions - 150 capacity; Lions Building - 120 capacity; CEC Building - 250 capacity.

The following rules apply to the reservations:

1. Pavilions and building will be available for reservation from May 1 thru October 1.
2. Civic groups of Frankenmuth may reserve any facility up to twelve months in advance. Frankenmuth school district groups may make a reservation up to eleven months in advance and non-Frankenmuth groups may make reservations up to six months in advance.
3. The park will be tentatively reserved for the following festivals: World Expo of Beer, Volkslaufe, Summer Music Fest, Auto Fest, Bavarian Fest and Oktoberfest. Any organization or group interested in conducting the above festivals, must submit a request to the Parks & Recreation Commission. The Commission will negotiate a lease with that organization and will recommend the terms of the lease to City Council. The City Council will take final action to either approve or deny the lease.
4. Sign up for reservations will be held at the Frankenmuth City Hall. Billings will be submitted from the City Office. Checks should be make payable to the City of Frankenmuth
5. Fees are established by the Frankenmuth Parks & Recreation Commission and are subject to change.
6. Commercial groups must be based in Frankenmuth City to qualify for City rate OR based in Frankenmuth School District to qualify for School District rate. A Frankenmuth resident cannot reserve a facility for a commercial group outside the City or School District.
7. Income Producing Groups:
B. Fees for use of park facilities by income producing groups will be established on an individual basis.
C. All applicants must be approved by the Frankenmuth Parks & Recreation Commission.
D. The Commission reserves the right to deny any application
E. Any application requesting more than one day's use must be approved by the Frankenmuth Parks & Recreation Commission.
F. 500-1,000 people results in a 20% fee increase. The next 500 people will result in an additional 10% fee increase.
1. A non-refundable deposit shall be submitted with the application request. The amount of the deposit will be either $50.00 or the total rental amount as credit toward the rent. The balance of the rest due, if any, will be billed prior to the use of the facility. If the applicant cancels his request, the deposit will be retained by the City.
2. Groups of 1,000 or more must be approved by the Commission.
3. All keys should be picked up at the City Office. Office hours are Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Keys should be returned by the following morning.
4. Rental of the Lions Building does not include use of the kitchen facility or utensils. The Frankenmuth Lions Club must be contacted for use of the kitchen facility.
5. Use of alcoholic beverages other than beer and wine is prohibited. Proper insurance coverage for groups must be presented prior to use.
6. Parking is restricted to designated areas.
7. All outside and inside activities must end by 12:00 midnight, except with prior approval from the Parks and Recreation Commission and City Council.
8. Users are requested to check the park facilities before leaving to be certain that doors are locked, lights are off and all locks secure.
9. Motorized vehicles are not to be used in the park except on roadways.
10. Any variation of these rules must have specified approval of the Frankenmuth Parks & Recreation Commission.
11. The Frankenmuth Parks & Recreation reserves the right to deny any application for park use and to deviate from the fee schedule.
12. Extra chairs and tables are the responsibility of the lessee.
13. The wooden covered bridge is privately owned. Please inform your group to use the East Jefferson / Weiss intersection to enter into Heritage Park. Also, please do not place directional sign throughout the City; this is a violation of the sign ordinance.

The Frankenmuth Parks & Recreation Commission reserves the right to deny any application for park use and to deviate from the fee schedule.
